– Jamar’s comments stem from Yaw Tog’s Sore Remis which has been viewed over 1 million times on YouTube
Ghanaian singer Kofi Jamar, has taken a swipe at social media users criticising the likes of Shatta Wale and Sarkodie over Yaw Tog’s impressive achievement with his Sore Remix.
Kofi Jamar took to his Twitter account to ask those criticising the top names in the music industry to take a back seat and show some respect.
His tweet read: “Stop disrespecting people like Sarkodie, Shatta, Stonebwoy and the likes just because of an achievement made by we newbies. What we’ve come to see and accomplish is been their years of hardworking and consistency. Let’s put some respect on their names plsss”
This follows rampant tweets and social media posts over Yaw Tog’s Sore Remix which managed to garner over 1 million views on Youtube in under a week.
Checks made by Vhyruzblogs showed that the song had made 1.2 million views in 4 days of its release on the popular video website.
As a result of this remarkable showing, many people took to social media to praise the young musician for doing what even the veteran stars could not pull off if even given a week.
This comparison between Yaw Tog and the top stars did not sit well with the Ekorso hitmaker and it has generated some massive debate.
Yaw Tog featured UK’s Stormzy and award-winning star Kwesi Arthur on the Sore Remix which is looking like an instant hit song.
